Kruti Dance Academy has been a blessing for us. The impact of Kruti is not just limited to the learning of dance ... it extends far beyond it. Under the expert guidance of Dinaji, director of Kruti Dance Academy and her staff, our children have grown from little 5 year olds who could barely coordinate a step to confident, graceful teenage dancers who can choreograph their own pieces. More importantly, they have made lifelong friends at Kruti. Kruti Dance Academy has been their second home. The Kruti family has played a significant part in shaping their character for which we are very thankful. Our two daughters have both learned responsibility, teamwork, creativity and much more. Thank you Kruti Dance Academy!

Kruti has opened up a world full of rich beauty and culture for me. Through my time at Kruti, I have gained a sense of confidence and dedication that will help me through the rest of my life. Even in college, dancing at Kruti has become a highlight of my week as it lets me express my creativity and reduces stress, along with getting to meet some great friends who share my passion.

Arangetram Graduate 2006 and current Bollywood Student

Having been a student at Kruti Dance Academy for over 10 years, I have developed skills that will always remain with me.  Kruti is not just about dancing to delicate yet powerful beats nor is it just about opening your eyes to a culture filled with beauty, but it also about finding self respect and hidden abilities. Every additional year that I spend at Kruti allows me to flourish into a human being with even more potential than the year before. I have been able to achieve bigger and harder goals because I was taught to push myself until I gained self satisfaction.  This unbreakable tie to Kruti has strengthened my morals and has also increased my performance ability in school. Because I have this special outlet to relieve my stress of school, I look forward to it every week. If I was not a part of Kruti Dance Academy I would only be half the person that I am today. I have truly found a passion that I will never be able to let go of.

When I first moved to Atlanta, I immediately researched Indian dance studios. All stellar recommendations and referrals led me to Kruti Dance Academy. And eight years later, I am remain steadfast in my decision to become a student of Mrs. Dina Sheth.

Kruti Dance Academy is more than just a dance studio, it has become my second home. I have developed bonds and friendships that I will cherish for the rest of my life. The time I have spent at Kruti has been both valuable and enriching. Dina Auntie encourages creativity and promotes a well balanced lifestyle. I have not only grown as a dancer but as a healthier woman. She and the staff truly lead by example.

The solid reputation of Kruti Dance Academy extends beyond the walls of the studio. People know a Kruti dancer and we carry that honor with pride. We are ambassadors of dance, extensions of Dina Auntie…we are a family.

Shaina started learning Bharata Natyam at the age of seven. She has grown to enjoy this ancient art form, the learning process, and the deeper meanings of all aspects of the dance. Preparing for her Arangetram has taught her discipline and vigor, which are essential elements of Bharata Natyam, and an appreciation for the level of understanding required to successfully present this art on stage. Learning Bharata Natyam has increased her expressive abilities and has provided her with creative ways to stay true to her heritage. Shaina performed her Bharata-Natyam Arangetram on July 19, 2009 at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center.

Mrs. Dina Sheth has impressed us with her sincere, methodical, and involved approach to teaching dance. Just the fact that Shaina looks forward to going to Kruti is evidence enough of her Guru’s effective teaching skills. It is evident that Mrs. Sheth treats each of her students with love, affection, and understanding of individual needs. Not only does she teach Bharata Natyam, but she helps her students understand the meaning of each dance. She encourages them to practice, perfect, and perform difficult pieces by focusing and ensuring that the student perfects each movement and expression.

We “thank you” from the bottom of our hearts for guiding Shaina in this extraordinary Arangetram experience and for continuing to inspire her.

Blossom Parekh

Student in Girl’s Bollywood Class

Before I had joined Kruti Dance Academy, I had never danced in my life, nor did I want to because I was too shy. Looking at the girls dance gracefully through that window pushed me to try it once. Dina Aunty, and the instructors helped me the entire time with love. Kruti has made me more confident, and has made me addicted to dance. I always look forward to what we are going to do next in class and I am always excited to see my friends who I dance with.

Kruti Dance Academy is more than just an activity; for me it is a portal into my life. Demanding perfect unison of the body and mind, and refinement and strength, Kruti perfectly fuses Indian and western dancing styles. Besides dancing, Kruti has also taught me a certain aspect of my culture and my identity. Since 2003, the year which I joined Kruti, one thing which has struck me continuously has been respect. As the years passed, I have moved from being a novice into a higher echelon of dancing and now also participate in many dance competitions to represent Kruti. Kruti has also given me the benefit of both interacting with children and imparting my knowledge of culture and dance unto them, and at the same time advancing my own skills, personality and knowledge.

It has been an unforgettable and an inspiring journey for our family with Kruti Dance Academy under the guidance of the vibrant and dynamic Mrs. Dina Sheth and her entire family. Sagar has been with Kruti Dance Academy for over ten years and has learnt numerous life long lessons during his time at the academy. Our initial intentions were to keep Sagar at Kruti to instill pride and awareness of Indian Art and Culture. To our amazement Mrs. Dina Sheth has built a strong and solid platform which has taken Sagar to another dimension in terms of growth and interpersonal development. At Kruti Dance Academy Sagar has learned that with hard work and determination, one can achieve anything. From confidence, to a strong stage presence, to public speaking, from a pupil to a teacher to younger children, and much more, Sagar has learned how to be a responsible boy. We are eternally grateful to the Sheth family for giving Sagar the opportunity of new horizons for success and achievements.

Ten years of Sanjiv’s enrollment at Kruti Dance Academy certainly speaks for itself. Kruti Dance Academy has certainly found a niche in the hearts and minds of those who have desired to follow the art of music and dance; it is a place where the classic and the contemporary music are fused to deliver unique performances of dance movements by the girls and boys of the Academy. However, there is more than meets the eye! Beyond the classes, the Academy’s doors are open to a place where the students interact to form camaraderie amongst their very own and in the process, through its dedicated teachers, learn discipline, commitment, leadership and voluntarism which are the building blocks to form strong characters in these young growing individuals.

As Sanjiv completes his tenth year at the Academy, he has gained much valuable knowledge, taken leadership in volunteering his time at the Academy, danced to his heart’s desire and, equally important, built lasting friendships; these are experiences that he will remember and cherish, always…

I am happy the way Kruti dance academy is. First and foremost the discipline and how well behaved the Kruti children are. Teachers and teaching assistants are always there for kids. Coaching at Kruti helps the kids to gain confidence and add values to their life. Dina aunty is more than just a teacher for kids. I tried to stop one of my kids from Kruti due to seemingly lack of interest but staying away one semester he missed Kruti already and chose to go back. Even if we have to sit outside with patience, the end of the year recital pays everything off. Always kids come back after performance with great confidence and the parents also feel the same. One of my kids thought he is the worst dancer but after practice at Kruti he feels he can do it well. Dancing helps the kids not just as an art alone but also as a very good physical activity; this helps kids to perform at social gatherings and also at competitions.
